Emily's Story
Emily Guest is a passionate sports professional and advocate for the empowerment of women in sport. Emily grew up playing a range of sports including volleyball, soccer, baseball, and hockey. Hockey specifically, as she played at a high level of AA in her youth career. She then went on to play for Humber College and had many successes there. Emily still enjoys playing hockey and has since been involved in coaching and volunteering.
Her passion and love for the impact of sport led her to her career in the sports industry. She earned her Undergraduate Degree in Communication Studies from Wilfrid Laurier University and Graduate Diploma in Sports Business Management from Humber College. Since then, she has had numerous jobs and volunteer experiences in sports. Including the City of Toronto Parks and Recreation as a Sports Programmer, Tournament Convenor and Hockey Coach with the Etobicoke Dolphins Hockey Organization, Sports Operations and Championship Event Planner with Ontario University Athletics, Sports Programs, Partnerships and Coach with MLSE LaunchPad and finally a Game Day Coordinator on the Global Partnerships team at MLSE (Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment).
Emily is excited to continue her journey in sports and can't wait to be a mentor for Girls in Sport AB. Emily has a unique perspective as a former female athlete and current female sports industry professional. She is excited to drive change and motivate the next generation of girls through the incredible impact of sport
